In a shocking incident of cruelty in Chak 53 Tikra, Mamu Kanjan, an influential landlord named Akram, along with his accomplice, attacked a buffalo with an axe, severely injuring it by breaking its legs, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to initial reports, the buffalo belonged to a poor labourer, Muhammad Amin, and had accidentally entered the landlord’s crop field.

The injured buffalo, worth approximately Rs 400,000, is the primary source of livelihood for the worker.

Despite the severity of the act, the landlord has not been arrested due to his influence in the area.

Police at Mamu Kanjan police station have registered a case, but no real action has been taken, alleges Muhammad Amin.

Amin further claims that the police are siding with the accused and have refused to offer any assistance or justice.

The distressed worker has appealed to RPO and CPO Faisalabad to take notice of the incident and provide him with justice.
