Excise Department registers Pakistan’s most expensive vehicle

Believe it or not! It has happened in Pakistan. The Excise Department in Lahore has registered the most expensive vehicle to date charging a registration fee of millions of rupees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The Citi Housing Scheme had applied for the registration of Mercedes Benz with a price tag of over Rs127 million. The department charged Rs5.3 million as registration fee for the luxury vehicle.
The vehicle belonging to Citi Housing Private Limited was registered by the department on December 13, 2021 with an address on DHA Lahore.
The vehicle which falls in class of 2501cc or above has an engine size of 3928.
The main features of the registration fee break-up are: Rs5093600 were charged as registration fee, Rs12000 for number plate and withholding tax Rs62500.
