Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Abid Zuberi said Monday that the Punjab government was illegal and unconstitutional after May 14, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
While talking to the media, he commented on the government’s non-following of the orders of the Supreme Court regarding the holding of elections and said that they could be disqualified.
“There is no space in the Constitution that allows a further extension in the date of elections,” he pointed out.
“Politicians may think that the Supreme Court will come under pressure due to the sit-in. The judges of the Supreme Court will not come under any pressure,” he stated.
