CM briefed on division of Lahore into two districts

The Punjab Board of Revenue (BOR) Thursday recommended the division of Lahore into two districts and gave a briefing to the chief minister in this regard, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The BOR also proposed the bifurcation of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) into two units.
In the briefing given to Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the BOR officials suggested that other administrative departments like the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) and Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) should also be divided for efficient management of the two districts.
The LDA will be divided into the North and the South offices, likewise, the WASA will also be split into North and South offices.
These divided offices will be managed by a mother organization.
