Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday said that Pakistan in collaboration with Gulf countries will take effective measures to save future of our youth and protect society from the menace of drugs, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed these views while addressing Pak-Gulf Anti-Narcotics Conference in Islamabad.
Interior Minister said that participation of Gulf countries in this conference showed Pakistan’s commitment to completely eradicate use of narcotics from our country.
He welcomed all the foreign delegates in the conference and said that they were not here only to represent their states instead they were gathered here as frontline soldiers in the fight against drugs.
Mohsin Naqvi said that they will streamline their coordination and strengthen their intelligence as well and will adopt a joint and effective strategy to deal with this menace with full determination.
Interior Minister said that a comprehensive strategy will be adopted to curb smuggling of narcotics and its usage.
Mohsin Naqvi said that “Pakistan values your participation in the conference and desire to expand this cooperation in various other sectors.”
He thanked the members of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for taking part in the conference.
Interior Minister said that Pakistan wanted to streamline intelligence sharing, joint training, timely communication and forensic and technical cooperation.
Mohsin Naqvi said that participation and cooperation of Gulf countries in this conference showed our commitment to make Pakistan a drug-free state.
