Ex-servicemen’s arrests expose PTI facilitators: Sharjeel

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has shed light on the provincial government’s steps to meet energy needs, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference, he said the Sindh Cabinet gave the go-ahead for establishing various solar parks and other energy-related projects including the Thar coal program in the recent meeting.
He added: “Yesterday, the president also laid stress on steps to give relief to the people. The president issued directives to the provincial governments to provide the people with relief at all costs.
“The Sindh government is on to it. The province is still providing the cheapest electricity. Pakistan is benefiting from Thar's electricity,
He also mentioned measures his government adopted to protect the life and property of the people, saying the provincial government working properly to nab dacoits and street criminals.
“The recent arrests are welcome. Recent arrests have exposed the facilitators of PTI,” he said.
After the arrest of the former ISI director general and initiation of the court martial of Lt-General (r) Faiz Hameed, three more ex-servicemen were taken into custody.
According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), these persons were taken into custody for violating military discipline.
The ISPR statement further said that investigations were underway into the actions of these retired officers and their accomplices, who were suspected of fomenting instability in collusion with vested political interests.
Sharjeel said: “A troika wanted to destabilise the country. All the people involved in acts to destabilise the country, including the May 9 incidents, will be exposed
“After the arrest of a general, more have been made. Be it May 9 incidents or other incidents, the law will take its course.”
He continued: “Another facilitator was providing the PTI with relief through the courts
“This facilitator targeted the PTI opponents holding an important position.
“A constitutional government was overthrown.
“Many people became victims of Saqib Nisar's revenge. He was a notorious person who persecuted the PPP leaders. Even today that person is facilitating PTI.
“All facilitators will also be penalised per the law. There are reports that Saqib Nisar also facilitated PTI founder.”
