PM, Governor Sarwar discuss governance, law and order in Punjab

Details of a meeting between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar are out now.
At the meeting, which took place on Thursday, Governor Sarwar reportedly presented the prime minister a Rs36 million cheque for the dam fund given by PakAid Chairman Imam Qasim. Political situation in Punjab also came under discussion at the meeting between the governor and the prime minister. The two leaders discussed issues related to governance and law and order situation in the province.
Plans to organise road shows in different countries of the world to attract investors to Punjab also came under discussion at the meeting. The prime minister directed the governor to organise such road shows in different countries, including the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, United States and Canada. He said that Pakistan is the best country for foreign investment and asked the governor to invite foreign investors from across the world to Pakistan. He said that overseas Pakistanis should also benefit from investment opportunities in Pakistan. Suggestions for improvement in the economic situation in the country also came under discussion at the meeting.
