Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has sought the monthly schedule of the five-year plan of education reforms, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.


The Chief Minister was presiding over a special meeting on school education reforms, held in connection to review the Public School Reorganization Programme.


During the meeting, Secretary School Education informed about the progress on School New Trash Project.


Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved giving 32298 computer tabs to primary school heads.


In the meeting, it was agreed to set up STEM IT and Science Lab in 1000-Elementary Schools.


The CM was briefed that Asian Development Bank will provide financial assistance of $100 million for the establishment of STEM lab.


The meeting gave approval of agreement for Google certification of 300,000 children of government schools.


Under the Digital Journey for Tech Valley project students will get Google certification opportunities.


Suggestions and recommendations for the establishment of Punjab Education Curriculum and Training were reviewed in the meeting.


It was briefed that more than 92 percent free books have been delivered.


Maryam Nawaz said that the quality of education in government schools has to be improved.


Senator Parvez Rasheed, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Provincial Minister School Education Ranasikander Hayat, MPA Sania Ashiq, Chief Secretary, Secretary Education, Secretary Finance, MD Punjab Curriculum and Test Book Board, MD Punjab Education Foundation, CEO Participation of Punjab Education Initiative Management Authority, MD Punjab Education Sector Reforms Program and other relevant authorities attended the meeting.
