The Tour of ICC's Champions Trophy has begun from Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A grand ceremony was organized at the iconic Faisal Mosque in connection with the beginning of the ICC Champions Trophy’s journey.

The trophy was then transported to the Pakistan Monument, where a special unveiling event was also held.

Former Test cricketer Shoaib Akhtar, along with ICC and PCB officials, graced the occasion, highlighting the significance of the tour.

Following its display at the Pakistan Monument, the trophy will be taken to Daman-e-Koh.

On the following day, it is set to visit various schools and colleges in Islamabad, allowing students to witness the prestigious trophy up close.

The Champions Trophy will continue its tour across Pakistan, reaching Murree on November 19, Abbottabad, and Nathia Gali on November 20, and other scenic destinations like Taxila and Khanpur Dam.

From November 22 to 25, the trophy will be showcased in Karachi, before being taken to Afghanistan from November 26 to 28, marking an exciting chapter in its journey.

Before heading off on Afghanistan’s tour, the trophy will also tour six other countries who are part of the Champions Trophy.

The trophy then returns to Pakistan on January 27, three weeks before the scheduled start of the tournament, with another tour of venues around Pakistan.
