JUI and PPP reach consensus over proposed constitutional draft: Maulana Fazl

Maulana Fazl has confirmed that JUI and PPP have reached consensus over proposed constitutional draft and both parties also agree on constitutional court, reproted 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference with PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto after detailed meeting on the draft of proposed amendments, Fazl said that tomorrow they will meet PML-N president former PM Nawaz Sharif and take him into confidence on the draft. Fazl said that he wil also meet PTI leadership and tried my my best to convince them on it so that parliament can passes the legislation unanimously.
On the occasion, Bilawal said that PPP and JUI has always played key role whenever amendments were proposed and passed from the parliament. He hoped that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif will endorse their draft.
He said Fazl wanted to take PTI on board and PPP will support him in this regard. He said PPP and Fazl had agreed on charter of democracy. He hoped PML-N will follow the constitution. Bilawal wished to seek support from all political parties.
Earlier, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and JUI reach consensus over proposed constitutional amendments draft during a meeting between Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Bilawal House Karachi on Tuesday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The consensus was reached over proposed constitutional amendments after delegation level talks between PPP and JUI. Moreover, the joint draft will be presented to PML-N President Nawaz Sharif tomorrow during key meeting between trio in Lahore.
On the occasion, Bilawal Bhutto said that dialogue is the solution to every problem. In today's meeting, political consensus was emphasized on both sides. This draft will be discussed with other parties.
Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto and Maulana Fazl also held detailed discussions on proposed 26th constitutional amendment. Both sides also held discussions on other issues. The two leaders agreed that Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit is welcome step which will help in bringing stability in the region.
PPP senior leader Faryal Talpur, PPP Sindh President Nisar Khoro and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Shazia Marri, Syed Naveed Qamar and Murtaza Wahab also attended the meeting.
The delegation of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam included Maulana Asad Mahmood, Maulana Zia-ul-Rehman, Rashid Mahmood Soomro, Nasir Mahmood Soomro, Kamran Murtaza, Mufti Abrar, Maulana Asjad Mahmood, Maulana Obaidul Rehman and Usman Badini.
