Electricity becomes more expensive; Govt issues new slab rates

Just to impress the IMF, the federal government has given another shock to the nation as it made electricity more expensive by issuing new slab rates for even the poor consumers.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the government released new electricity slab rates on Friday.
As per the new slab rates, the electricity rates for the user of 100 units monthly have been increased from Rs7.74 to Rs13.48 per month.
The rate for the user of 200 units per month has been increased from Rs10.06 to Rs18.58 per unit and for users of 300 units per month, the rate per unit has been increased to Rs21.47.
Per unit rate of 400 units per month will be cast Rs24.63 that was earlier Rs14.63 per unit.
For monthly consumption of 500 units, the price per unit will be Rs26.9 and Rs27.1 per unit for the users of 600 units per month.
The rate for those using 700 units per month will now pay Rs27.65 per unit.
Monthly consumption of more than 700 units of electricity will be charged now at a rate of Rs31.12 per unit.
