Lahore schools to stay closed in respect of Chehlum and Urs

All public and private schools of Lahore city will remain closed tomorrow (Saturday) in honour of the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain RA and the annual Urs (death anniversary) of Hazrat Data Gunj Baksh (R.A), reported 24NewsHD TV Channel Friday.
The Chehlum of the martyrs of Karbala and the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad SW, Hazrat Imam Hussain will be celebrated on 17th September 2022 throughout the country as well with devotion and respect.
The 3-day celebrations of the 979th Urs of the venerable Muslim mystic, Hazrat Ali Hujwiri (Data Ganj Bakhsh) are going on from Thursday.
To mark both sacred events, all private and public schools across the city will remain closed on Saturday. These will resume their academic activities on Monday.
It is pertinent that schools in the vicinity of Data Darbar have been closed from September 15-17 on account of the Urs celebrations.
