17 political trends on Twitter declared as sensitive, CTD submits report to Punjab CM

Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has compiled a report by monitoring trends on social media for three months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to report about 17 political trends on Twitter were declared sensitive.
General elections and national security agencies were targeted in political trends, the report said.
Report revealed that anti-national trending on social media was mostly done by people sitting abroad.
Punjab Police and top personalities were unnecessarily criticized in the trending report.
Abut 9 communally driven trends were identified, officials said.
Ten trends being monitored related to nationalism, Balochistan and Gwadar, report said.
Action will be taken against those spreading unrest through social media trends, CTD officials said.
CTD has blocked as many as 2,836 pages and sites spreading unrest on social media, officials said.
Two new organizations active on social media were also identified, officials said.
CTD sent the report to Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz.
