Govt reduces tariff for electric charging stations by 50%

The federal government has reduced electricity tariff for electric vehicle charging stations by 50 percent, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to notification issued by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), the basic electricity tariff for electric vehicle charging stations has been reduced by Rs22 per unit.
The basic tariff has been reduced from Rs45 per unit to Rs23 per unit.
Now electricity will be provided at Rs38 per unit for electric vehicle charging stations along with taxes.
Earlier, taxes and subsidies were being charged at the rate of Rs75 per unit.
Fuel price adjustments will not be applicable more or less.
At the request of the federal government, Nepra issued a notification for the reduction in prices.
