The federal cabinet made over half of its decisions without holding proper meetings in fiscal 2023–24, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, out of 1,244 decisions, 666 were approved through circulation summaries, which is 53.54 percent of the total.
The sources said only 40 official cabinet meetings were held during the whole year where remaining decisions were made.
They said the government preferred to get approval of decisions through circulation summaries instead of holding a debate in the cabinet meetings.
However, the decisions taken through circulation summaries in fiscal year 2023-24 were less than fiscal year 2022–23 when the cabinet approved 792 out of 1,116 decisions through the circulation summaries.
In 2022-23, only 42 official cabinet meetings were held.
