WhatsApp allows users to send voice messages, but the problem with that is the users had to listen to the voice message in the chat and if they tried to switch to a different chat, the voice message would stop and they would essentially need to start over. However, a latest update has changed that.

WhatsApp has recently pushed out an update that will allow users to continue to listen to voice messages even when they switch to a different chat.

This is similar to how users can watch YouTube videos in WhatsApp and the video will keep playing even when they leave the chat and go to a different chat.

This feature was actually spotted in an earlier beta but it looks like it is now rolling out to users. This is part of some changes that WhatsApp is making to its app and voice messages. Some of the other changes include the ability to pause and play voice messages, whereas previously if users stopped the message they’d have to resume from the start.

Other changes also include the ability to review your voice messages before you send, just in case you misspoke or decide that isn’t the message you want to send.

Check three news from WhatsApp

In order to always promote the best experience for its users, WhatsApp never stops testing new features in the app. Updates are available for both the standard and corporate version of the messenger, and The WhatsApp Business. Here are three features provided by the WABetaInfo portal.

Camera interface

According to the specialized website (WABetaInfo), the messenger is already testing in the beta version of iOS a new interface in the camera option. The change removed the carousel with the latest photos and videos from the phone’s storage.

The new interface also provides redesigned icons for the button that opens the user’s full gallery and for the camera toggle button located at the bottom of the screen. Now the look is even simpler, with a smaller version of the latest file in your camera roll.

Societies

Another novelty discovered by WABetaInfo has to do with the choice of communities. The feature will give more control to administrators when managing multiple groups. But since it is in the early stages of development, it has not been released even in the beta version of the messenger.

In a screenshot taken by the website, it is possible to see that there is a brief presentation of the new feature of The WhatsApp. In addition, according to the information, it will be possible to send a message to several groups at the same time, facilitating, for example, the dissemination of advertisements between related groups.

Cover photos

Finally, in The WhatsApp Business, account admins will soon be able to add cover photos to their profiles. The messenger will allow the user to select a photo from the device gallery or take a new one to put in the background of the profile picture.

However, like Communities, cover photos are not even available to beta users, as it is a feature that is still in development. However, this novelty is expected to remain exclusive to The WhatsApp Business, for both Android and iOS.
