Hammad Azhar booked in steel mills construction case; arrest likely

A case was registered Friday against former federal minister and PTI leader Hammad Azhar in Sheikhupura over damage he caused to the national exchequer in the construction of AFCO Steel Mills, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) also initiated proceedings for the arrest of Hammad Azhar.
Damage of millions of rupees was extended to the national exchequer in the form of commercialisation fees in the construction of AFCO Steel Mills, the text of the case read.
The AFCO Steel Mills was constructed illegally without the approval of the building plan and map, it added.
Besides Hammad Azhar, Ferozewala Municipal Committee Building Inspector Haji Muhammad Iqbal was nominated in the case.
It was learnt that the ACE planned to arrest Hammad Azhar and Building Inspector Haji Iqbal.
