Principal faces music after schoolgirls dance on Indian song in Narowal

The Narowal deputy commissioner Thursday suspended the principal and two teachers of the Government Girls High School for allegedly making girl students dance to an Indian song in a ‘Jashan-e-Baharan’ programme a few days ago.
According to the report aired by 24NewsHD TV channel, the school management had organised a ‘Jashan-e-Baharan’ programme at the Narowal’s Nymat Stadium where girl students of the Govt Girls High School danced to an Indian song.
The video of their dance went viral on social media which drew anger from the girls’ parents, civil society, and religious organisations of the city. They protested against the school management for making the girl students dance.
Narowal Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar took notice of it and suspended school principal Parveen Waqar and two teachers – Hina and Farzana.
The deputy commissioner also ordered an inquiry into the incident.
