Ex-Matiari DC arrested on corruption charges

Former Deputy Commissioner of Matiari Adnan Rashid was arrested by the Hyderabad Police from Matiari on charges of corruption in the purchase of the land allotted for construction of Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway, reported 24NrewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to details, officer Adnan Rashid was recently removed from the post of Deputy Commissioner of Matiari after facing corruption charges.
Four billion rupees were transferred to the account of Adnan Rashid during the purchase.
There are allegations of corruption of more than two billion rupees against Adnan Rashid, said the police.
