Orange Line train fare revised

The Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) on Thursday issued an order to implement stop-to-stop fare for Orange Line Metro Train and it will be applicable from tomorrow, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, the minimum fare will be Rs20 while the maximum will be Rs40.
The fare from station number one to four will be Rs20. The fare from station number four to eight will be Rs25.
The fare from station number 8 to 12 will be Rs30. The fare for station number twelve to sixteen will be Rs35.
Meanwhile, the fare from station number 16 to onward will be Rs40.
For this reason, an automated card system has been linked to the fare application and fare collection.
The stop-to-stop fare of the passenger can be determined through the card system.
The Punjab Cabinet also approved this decision.
It merits here to mention that in the past the passengers were charged a fixed fare of Rs40 for the short route as well.
