Noted architect Izzah Minhas becomes the first Pakistani to participate in 31st Conference of the International Seminar on Urban Form (ISUF) in Brazil, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
This year’s theme of ISUF was ‘Future Horizons for Urban Form: Disruption, Continuity, Expansion, and Reverberation’.
Minhas gave a presentation on ‘Digital Landscape: Forming and Transforming Collective Perception of Place-making’.
Based on the presentation, a paper by her would also be published in ISUF 2024 conference proceedings. Professors and architects from the world’s top institutes participated in the moot.
The objective of the ISUF is the international and interdisciplinary sharing of ideas, methods, and findings concerned with urban form.
Beginning in 1994 with the gathering of some 20 architects, geographers, planners, and historians representing four different language areas, it now has some 600 individual and institutional members from about 50 countries.
The ISUF council, comprising officers and elected members, governs its activities. The council meets once a year to review the association’s business.
The publication of the association’s journal is in the hands of an editor, two associate editors, two assistant editors, an editorial assistant, and an editorial board.
Special projects are coordinated by the chairs and secretaries of various commissions and working parties. All administrative positions in the organization are honorary and unpaid.
