‘We have no involvement…’: KMKT team Big Bang Entertainment clarifies stolen paintings matter

The team Big Bang Entertainment of the hit ongoing drama serial ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ clarified their involvement in the matter of stolen painting of artist Seffy Soomro shown in episode 17 of the show.
The production house took to their official Instagram page and explained all the details regarding the matter saying that locations featured in the show were rented out with their assets and they have no concern with the paintings present at Frere Hall where Seffy Soomro submitted those paintings as his thesis work.

Here are the exact words stated by the production house:
“Public Announcement…
“It has come to our attention that a painting featured in a scene from our ongoing drama ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ was used without proper permission from the respected artist.
“As artists and producers ourselves, our sympathies go out to the concerned individual. This being said, “Big Bang Entertainment would like to clarify that we have no involvement in this matter.
“The location for this specific shoot was rented, and as per our agreement, all assets present, including the painting in question, belonged to the venue owners.
Moreover, they stated that the matter was not in their hands and urged the artist Seffy Soomro to raise his voice for the hard work and love he put into his paintings.
“Unfortunately, this is beyond the control of our production team, and we encourage the artist to directly address the matter with the concerned parties.
Further, they hoped that the matter would come to a good resolution soon and that it would not have any negative impact on the success and respect of the drama.
“We hope for a swift and fair resolution and expect all stakeholders to respect the unprecedented success and acclaim ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ has organically achieved these past few weeks.
The note concluded, “We’re strong proponents of fair usage rights and will continue to maintain our stance in areas we can control.
