PTI MNA from Karachi Najeeb Haroon – also one of the founding members of the party – has resigned from the National Assembly, saying he could not deliver anything for the city despite occupying the office for 20 months.
Najeeb, who was elected from NA-256 in the 2018 general elections, sent his resignation to National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan, the copy of which is available with the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Najeeb said despite being a party member, he wasn’t consulted in the decision-making process, as he reminded the prime minister that he was among those laying the PTI’s foundations 24 years ago.
The disgruntled PTI lawmaker, addressing the prime minister, also mentioned that he could not enjoy his trust despite having a yearlong relationship.
Najeeb, however, requested that his status of the PTI’s founding member should be maintained, adding that he would remain a part of the party for his entire life.
He also expressed the hope that the country would move forward under the leadership of Imran.
