Govt spends Rs399b on development projects in nine months

The federal government spent an amount of Rs399 billion on various development projects during nine months of current fiscal year 2024-25, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to official documents, Rs98 billion were spent on development projects in special areas. 

Rs54.29 billion were spent on National Highway Authority (NHA) development projects.

Development projects of power division were completed in Rs51 billion and Rs51.84 billion were spent on projects related to water resources division.

Development projects under Pakistan Railways involved an amount of Rs20.97 billion and development projects of Higher Education Commission (HEC) involved an amount Rs20.22 billion.

The documents further revealed that Rs664 billion were spent on different developments projects from March 2025 to July 2025.

An amount of Rs1,100 billion was allocated for different development projects during current fiscal year.
