NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq offers his role for govt, opposition talks 

National Assembly (NA) Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said on Wednesday that he was ready to play his role in talks between the government and the opposition on all issues, including political, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He said every lawmaker, be he or she from the government or the opposition, was free to visit his office or even home. “If they want to reduce tensions and discuss the issues pertaining to the country’s interest, they are most welcome.”

Ayaz said there were several issues that could come under discussion, including those related to changes in weather patterns and provincial autonomy. “So long as I am the speaker, I will treat both the government and the opposition MNAs alike,” he said, and added he could not go to the House yesterday due to some engagements. “But I have listened to the speeches made by PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat and PTI stalwarts Khawaja Asif and Rana Sanaullah.”
