UN chief commends Mahira Khan’s role as goodwill ambassador

While sharing his picture with top Pakistani filmstar Mahira Khan on Twitter, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Gutteres has thanked the Pakistani actress, who is also the goodwill ambassador for refugees.

Mr Gutteres said that Pakistan has completed four decades of showing solidarity to millions of Afghan refugees. “I felt extremely good after meeting the goodwill ambassador for refugees. Last year, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) had appointed Mahira Khan as its goodwill ambassador for refugees.
