Torture victim Parveen Rind records statement before Benazirabad DIG

The harassment and torture victim Parveen Rind recorded her statement at women police station in Shaheed Benazirabad on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Ms Rind reached the office of Shaheed Benazirabad DIG Police Khadim Hussain Rind along with her uncle Ali Nawaz Rind. She met the DIG and presented evidence of her torture and harassment to him.
Then she went to the women police station and recorded her statement. In her statement she said that she could recognize university female officials who beat her up. The officials included: Atiqa, Farida Vigan and Fareen Dehri.
Ms Rind expressed hope that police would arrest them.
A few days ago, Ms Rind, a nursing house officer in Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences for Women in Nawabshah, uploaded a video on social media alleging that she was beaten up and locked in the hostel room by three officials of the university. They subjected her to torture because she refused to accept their ‘unethical demands’, she further alleged.
Ms Rind also showed marks of torture on her arms in the video. She claimed that these university officials had been harassing her since her first year at the university. She alleged that the varsity officials tried to kill her accusing them of killing other girls before, possibly referring to other medical students who died mysterious in their hostel rooms of medical colleges.
Taking notice of her video, the Sindh High Court chief justice took suo motu notice of the incident on last Saturday and summoned DIG police Shaheed Benazeerabad, deputy commissioner and university registrar on Tuesday before the court.
Ms Rind appeared before the court on Tuesday and demanded justice. She said she would remain barefoot until she got justice.
