The Civil Lines police have been approached against the former Rawalpindi commission Liaquat Ali Chattha and ROs concerned over election manipulation revelations, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
Lawyer Arsalan Ahmed moved the police submitting that the former commissioner and the ROs involved in the election manipulation should be booked.
He said that they harmed the country's interest and betrayed the nation.
Earlier in the day, Chattha stepped down as the Rawalpindi commissioner after confessing to election manipulation.
"We converted the losers into winners, reversing margins of 70,000 votes in 13 National Assembly seats," he told the media at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium
“I and the election commissioner should be penalized over rigging. I surrender to the police,” he added.
