Acting Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Sardar Sarfaraz Dogar, has outlined key priorities, focusing on tax cases, backlog cases, and missing persons cases, according to sources.

To expedite the resolution of tax-related disputes, a division bench comprising Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz has been formed. Sources also confirmed that appeals in the IHC will be heard strictly in order of their filing, with no out-of-turn considerations.

Addressing concerns about judicial differences, sources clarified that there is no conflict with the judges who had written a letter on seniority issues, adding that such matters will be resolved by the relevant court.

In administrative changes, former District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Yar Walana has been appointed as the new Registrar of the Islamabad High Court. Additionally, Maqsood Ahmed has been appointed as the Secretary to the Chief Justice, replacing the previous officeholder.

These decisions reflect an effort to streamline judicial proceedings and enhance efficiency within the Islamabad High Court.
