Geo News cameraman thrashed in Islamabad Anti-terror court

A cameraman of Geo Television named Nasir Mughal was thrashed and tortured in the Anti-terrorism Court in Islamabad when he was on his duty to cover the a murder case in the presence of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police personnel, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Islamabad DIG Operations Waqar Uddin said a case is being registered against those responsible and action is also being taken against the police personnel who have shown negligence.
“The torture by accused on cameraman is highly reprehensible,” DIG Operations said.
Police have arrested two accused named Hamayun and Asad involved in torturing the cameraman.
Nasir Mughal said in a video shared by the senior journalist Hamid Mir, “I was making footage of the case when accused party personnel started torturing me and snatched my phone,”
“Around 25 people tortured me inside the court with lawyers taking the lead,” he further said.
