Artists play vital role in portraying positive image of society: Ch Parvez Elahi

Internationally renowned Pakistani singer Shazia Manzoor Tuesday called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in the Assembly Chamber.

Secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti was also present on the occasion.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that artists play a very important role in bringing the positive face of any society before the world.

“Thanks to Pakistani artists, the name of Pakistan reached the corners of the world. Shazia Manzoor is also one of the artists who have made Pakistan famous in the world.”

He further said that Coronavirus has had a negative impact on the showbiz industry which has affected the artist community, adding that the government should take practical steps for the welfare of artists and revival of the industry.

Shazia Manzoor said that Rescue 1122 is a project initiated by Ch Parvez Elahi that will be remembered for centuries.

Shazia Manzoor congratulated Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi on the completion of the new building of the Punjab Assembly and the House. Later, Shazia Manzoor also visited the new building and house of the Punjab Assembly.

Meanwhile, Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi telephoned PML-N MPA Bilal Yasin.

Ch Parvez Elahi inquired after Bilal Yasin and wished him a speedy recovery.
