Tax evasion: FBR seals outlets of fashion brands Elan and Zaha 

The Corporate Tax Office of the Federal Bureau of Revenue’s team (FBR) Wednesday sealed outlets of fashion brands ‘Elan’ and ‘Zaha’ over non-filing of sales tax returns, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Corporate Tax Office team sealed the outlet of Elan on Jail Road Main Boulevard and the outlet of Zaha in Gulberg Galleria.

The action was taken against the two after tracing the suspicious manipulation and forgery of the sales invoices by Deputy Commissioner Dr Javed Iqbal. The action was taken on the orders of Commissioner of Inland Revenue Naeem Babar.

FBR officials stated that the sales tax returns have also not been submitted by Elan since September of last year and the invoices of Point of Sales were also not being issued at the outlets.
