The meeting was being held at the prime minister’s Islamabad residence in Banigala during which discussions about the no-confidence motion will take place.

The meeting will also deliberate on a legal action against the renegade PTI parliamentarians.

It will be briefed on the steps for placating the estranged PTI parliamentarians.

A report will also be presented to the prime minister about the PTI parliamentarians’ gathering at Sindh House, Islamabad.

Imran to address public gathering at Kurram today

Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit district Kurram in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) today (Friday) where he will address a public gathering.

KP governor and chief minister and some federal ministers will accompany the prime minister on the visit.

Ever since the opposition has moved a no-trust motion against the government in the National Assembly (NA), PM Imran has visited different parts of KP and Punjab to demonstrate his popularity in masses.

Only a couple of days back he visited Swat where he addressed a mammoth crowd. Prior to that he addressed large gatherings in Hafizabad, Dir and Mailsi that invited the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) ire, which issued him notices.

Yesterday (Thursday, March 17, 2022) the prime minister challenged the issuance of these notices in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
