Airlines reimburse Rs40,000 to each traveller who paid excise duty

On the directive of the federal government, domestic and international airlines have started to reimburse the federal excise duty they earlier charged from air travellers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The airlines will return Rs40,000 to each business class passenger who bought air ticket before July 1 and made additional payment in the form of federal excise duty.
The airlines have also directed the affected passengers to contact airlines officials for refund of their money.
