TTP’s Commando arrested in Karachi encounter

A suspected commander of a banned outfit was arrested in a police encounter in Ittehad Town of Karachi on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Keamari, the arrested terrorist has been identified as Irshad Gul alias Commando and was arrested in Baldia Ittehad Town area of Karachi.
It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested terrorist belongs to the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a banned organization in Swat and was involved in different crimes including recent street crime incidents and sabotage in West, Korangi, East and Central districts by forming a ten-member gang.
“The raids were conducted at different suspected places in order to arrest Commander after they received an intelligence from a source,” said the SSP.
SSP Fida Hussain further told the media that the terrorist was arrested when he was committing a robbery with his accomplices in Karachi; he was wounded during the encounter.
The police also recovered weapons and hand grenades from his possession.
