The rescue operation at the site of a landslide near Torkham Border was resumed Wednesday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The operation, which was started Tuesday after a landslide, had to be put on hold due to heavy rain and another landslip at night.
Three dead bodies had been recovered, and eight injured people were rescued, till the filing of the report. All the deceased were from Afghanistan.
According to the Rescue 1122 director general, the rescue operation has been underway for the past 30 hours. Heavy machinery is being used to remove the containers buried under the landslide.
Rescue officials from Khyber, Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda and Mardan, and a special team of Pakistan Army, are participating in the search operation.
The search operation is going on in a specific way, for further landslides in the area are feared.
