Punjab CM approves export of alfalfa fodder to UAE

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting in Lahore, which approved the export of high-protein fodder (alfalfa) to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The meeting gave go-ahead for to increase the promotion of alfalfa, which has more protein and nutrition than any other hay or grass for farm animals, by the Livestock Department.
The high protein fodder will be preserved after drying it according to the scientific guidelines.
The meeting also considered various proposals for ‘breed insemination’ for the development of dairy sector.
