Champions Trophy is Pakistan's honour, says Mohsin Naqvi
PCB Chairman chairs Governing Board’s76th meeting in Islamabad, briefs members about arrangements and construction work in stadiums

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan's principle stand on Champions Trophy 2025 was being widely appreciated, adding that Champions Trophy was an honor of the country therefore PCB will not compromise on it, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PCB Chairman was chairing Governing Board’s76th meeting in Islamabad on Thursday. During the meeting, PCB Governing Board approved all of the decisions which were made during the previous meeting of the Board.
During the Board meeting, PCB chief briefed the participants that all international cricket teams will be given warm welcome in Pakistan. He said, “every Pakistanis wanted to see all international teams visit Pakistan and play on their cricket grounds”.
Mohsin Naqvi made it clear that cricket is a sports event which will not be allowed to be policised at all cost. He said cricket was a game loved by millions of fans therefore sports event must remain a game.
PCB chief said, “PCB was all set to host the Champions Trophy tournament. All preparations were complete for the Champions Trophy”.
Naqvi said, “I have been talking about the victory of Pakistan and cricket since the very first day”.
PCB chief assured the board members that the construction work on all stadiums will be completed before the start of the tournament. He said construction teams were working hard day and night to complete the work of the stadiums.
Governing Board’s members were also briefed about the construction and developments work in Gaddafi Stadium, National Stadium and Rawalpindi Stadium. Naqvi said PCB has made all out arrangements for Champions Trophy 2025.
Chairman PCB also took the governing board members into confidence regarding Champions Trophy. Governing Board members appreciated the principle stand of PCB chief regarding the ICC Champions Trophy. The governing board also expressed satisfaction over the construction work of the stadiums. PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza, PSL Head Salman Naseer and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
