Qureshi, Gandapur among 14 more PTI leaders indicted in GHQ gate crash case

The court hearing the May 9 GHQ gate crash case inside Adiala Jail indicted 14 more people on Thursday.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, former federal minister Shehryar Afridi, MNA Kanwal Shauzab, Colonel Shabbir Awan, Major Latasab Satti, Umar Tanvir Butt, Taimur Masood, Saad Ali Khan, Sikandar Zeb, Zohaib Afridi, Fahad Masood and Raja Nasir were indicted on Thursday. At least 113 PTI workers and leaders have been indicted in the GHQ gate crash so far.
All the accused in the case have however denied the charges levelled against them. The court later adjourned the case until December 21.
The court also completed initial hearing on a petition filed by the jailed former prime minister Imran Khan about inadequate evidence for indictment. Further hearing on this petition will be conducted inside an anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi tomorrow.
Gandapur has appointed Ghulam Hussain Sumbal pleader in this case. Sumbal will be Gandapur’s pleader in 12 cases involving May 9 violence.
