Kaveh Moussavi has said he would appear before Pakistan’s commission constituted to dig into Broadsheet scandal if he is summoned.
He said Justice (r) Azmat Saeed has not called him so far. However, he said he would turn up before the panel he is called.
The commission is examining the selection, appointment process and contracts of the Broadsheet and the International Assets Recovery (IAR).
It is examining the reasons and implications of the cancellation of contracts in 2003 and identifying the reasons and implications of Pakistan’s payments to Broadsheet in 2008.
Sticking to his guns, Moussavi said British journalist David Rose is lying and going for the tricks that resulted in the closure of News of the World. Moussavi said David has been asking journalists to launch a smear campaign against him.
