The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has decided not to extend invitation to the PPP for its next meeting to be held in last week of May, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Pakistan People’s Party would also not be asked to join the PDM’s anti-government movement starting from first week of June.
According to highly informed sources in the PPP, the rumours about rejoining PDM by the PPP are baseless, which have nothing to do with reality, the TV channel reported. Moreover, no consultation has been held with anyone in this regard and no discussion is underway on this issue.
The sources claimed the meeting of some PPP leaders with JUI-F chief and PDM President Maulana Fazlur Rehman was only limited to social gathering and to inquire about his health.
Shehbaz-Fazl meeting
PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Shehbaz Sharif will meet before the PDM summit due in last week of May, the sources claimed.
Both will discuss about the return of the ANP and PPP back to the anti-government PDM alliance and political situation in the country.
Shehbaz to visit Charsadda
PML-N top leadership has contacted the Awami National Party (ANP) and a meeting between Shehbaz Sharif and ANP leaders has been arranged.
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif will visit Wali Bagh Charsadda tomorrow (Thursday).
The leaders from both sides will discuss the PDM issue and the political situation in the country and possible return of the ANP to the PDM will also be discussed, the sources claimed.
However, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in his latest statement said that after series of defeats the PDM’s future is dark due to its unnatural alliance.
