Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Saturday lamented the historical lack of a level playing field for his party, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a PPP worker convention at Peshawar, Bhutto added that the PPP has grown accustomed to such challenges over the years.
Dismissing misconceptions, Bhutto addressed the notion of forcefully installing a prime minister, stating, "Today, someone thinks that they can forcefully make someone the prime minister. This is their misunderstanding."
Asserting the PPP's commitment to democratic principles, he categorically stated that the party will not align with any IJI (Islami Jamhoori Ittehad).
Bilawal Bhutto criticized the elderly politicians and said seventy-seven-year-old politicians should sit at home. “The people of Pakistan and 70 percent of the youth are fed up with the old politicians,” he hinted.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bilawal accused other political parties, particularly the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), of betraying the trust of the people. He stressed that the PPP is the true representative of the masses, with a commitment to people-centric policies.
Taking a dig at PML-N, Bhutto declared, "A party has become an inflationary league; it does not know how to govern."
He highlighted the PPP's dedication to public service, proclaiming it as the party's manifesto and ideology.
Bhutto expressed readiness to contest elections based on the performance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Proudly reflecting on the PPP's 16-month performance, he accused agents of change of wreaking havoc.
Bhutto also accused the former government of favoring private hospitals through health insurance card over government facilities.
The real face of other political parties has come before the public, he said, adding that taking the U-turn is not a sign of a leader but a coward.
He vowed that if Jayla is the Prime Minister and Chief Minister, the people will develop.
He recalled how alone Benazir Bhutto clashed with two dictators.
Bilawal Bhutto said that his mother was killed a few days before the 2008 general elections, but still, his party managed to win the elections and came to power with the trust of the people of Pakistan.
On December 27, 2007, Benazir Bhutto was assassinated when she was returning after addressing a public meeting at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi.
Bilawal Bhutto said that now once again the battlefield is going to be set and the election field is going to be decorated.
He said that we would win at the sign of the arrow and come to power and serve this country.
Looking ahead, Bhutto pledged a Kisan card and vowed to deliver jobs directly to doorsteps, underlining a commitment to genuine representation and governance that respects the vote of the people.
