Five people were killed in an armed clash between two groups of Chandio and Brohi castes in tehsil Warah of district Qambar, Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Talking to the media, SSP Dr. Sameer Anwar said that the incident took place in Naseer Muhammad Chandio, a suburban village of tehsil Warah.

Giving details, he said those killed had been identified as Nadir, Alam, Bhooral, Sabir and Khalid. “However, firing has stopped in the area, and a heavy contingent of police was present at the site in order to prevent any escalation in violence,” the SSP elaborated.

Sources told 24News that the clash occurred following an incident of motorbike snatching.
