A fire broke out in a toys factory in Bhogiwal area of Lahore, and it reduced equipment worth hundreds of thousands of rupees to ashes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to the rescue sources, the fire broke out in a factory that manufactured children’s toys.
The roof of the factory also collapsed due to the fire.
“Almost 30 percent of the fire has been controlled so far,” the rescue officials had said.
“There lay plastic equipment in the factory in which the fire had erupted,” they had added.
No loss of life had been reported due to the fire.
The factory covered one-kanal land, and it had been built in a populated area due to which the rescuers faced difficulties in overcoming the fire.
“There is no emergency exit in the factory. Besides entrance, there are two doors in it. The firefighting was done from both sides,” the rescue officials had said.
“Four rescue vehicles took part in the operation. The cooling process began after the fire was extinguished. The cause behind the fire eruption is yet to be ascertained” they had added.
