Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary General Haider Hussain has denied the rumours of his resignation that circulated on social and electronic media on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He said that he had not submitted any resignation letter to the PHF President Khalid Sajjad Khokhar or anyone else.
Haider Hussain was appointed as the interim secretary of the PHF in July 2022, after the former secretary Asif Bajwa resigned due to alleged internal politics in the federation.
Haider Hussain, who is also the secretary of Karachi Hockey Association (KHA), has been working to revive the national game and improve its performance at the international level.
Yesterday, rumours circulated that Haider Hussain, the Interim Secretary of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), had been removed from his position.
These rumours were further fuelled by allegations of a bogus bank accounts scam under his leadership at PHF. Investigations into this alleged scam are reportedly underway.
However, it is important to note that these are unverified reports and should be treated as such until official confirmation is received.
