CM Maryam orders restoration of traditional fairs across Punjab

Sahiwal Division Assembly members call on chief minister in Lahore

Assembly Members of Sahiwal Division met with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

During meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced to establish PHA for the beautification of every city.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also ordered to restore traditional fairs across Punjab.

The administration in every city should encourage and facilitate local fairs, Chief Minister directed.

Chief Minister directed Inspector General of Police that Dolphin force should be established in every city.

Maryam Nawaz also ordered to functionalize cardiology block in Sahiwal as soon as possible and directed to meet the shortage of faculty in Sahiwal Medical College.

In the meeting, the CM sought a comprehensive plan for the promotion of religious tourism in Pakpattan and instructed to complete the construction, repair and decoration of Baba Farid's shrine soon.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also directed to improve the law and order situation in Sahiwal Division.

Planning for Archaeological Conservation and Tourist Facilitation in Harappa was also reviewed in the meeting.

The Chief Minister also issued instructions for setting up Model Agri Malls in Sahiwal and Okara.

The Chief Minister said that it was considered an unpopular decision not to buy wheat, but it came down prices to flour and bread.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that increase in the price of wheat does not benefit the farmer, but the bread is expensive for the people.

She said that about 900,000 applications have been received for Kisan card and the card will be active in a few days and a loan of up to Rs150,000 will be available.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that middlemen used to blackmail the farmers and the farmers lost their lives due to this torment.

Government is starting an agricultural graduate internship program for farmers’ advice, Maryam Nawaz said.

She said that government will increase the number of houses in the Aapna Ghar program and we will give more than 500000 houses.

Maryam Nawaz said that the first and biggest scheme to provide housing loan on just ownership documents and identity card is being launched.

Prevented from increasing the monthly installment of Apni Chhat Apna Ghar program from Rs 14,000, Maryam Nawaz said.

Maryam Nawaz said that private hospitals and surgeons have been added to the children's heart surgery card.

She said that Rs15000 will be given every four months on Himat Card and Minority cards will also be issued for widows and poor minority brothers.

She said that 600 roads are being restored across Punjab and the condition of roads in every city will change in a few months.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that there was no sanitation system in the whole of Punjab but the commissioners were given the target of zero waste.

The assembly members commended Chief Minister for bringing the public welfare projects and thanked the Chief Minister for building the roads of Sahiwal Division.

Senator Pervez Rasheed, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Azma Zahid Bukhari, Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik, Members of Assembly, Chief Secretary, IG, Chairman P&D Commissioner Sahiwal Shoaib Iqbal Syed, RPO, DC and other Officials were also present in the meeting.
