Saudi Airline honours Pakistani lady doctor for saving air passenger's life

A Pakistani lady doctor, Dr Rizwana Nadeem Memon, was honoured by Saudi Airlines, Commissioner Hyderabad Bilal Ahmed, and Matiari Deputy Commissioner Yousuf Shaikh for extending life-saving medical assistance to a fellow passenger mid-flight, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to the channel report, Dr Rizwana, a resident of Hala, District Matiari, was aboard a flight from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia for Umrah when a passenger suddenly fell ill during the journey.
Without hesitation, Dr Rizwana responded swiftly, providing urgent medical aid, which helped stabilise the patient until the aircraft landed safely.
Her timely intervention was hailed as a remarkable act of humanitarian service.
In recognition of her services, Saudi Airlines presented her with a Certificate of Excellent Performance, while the Commissioner of Hyderabad and DC Matiari jointly presented a shield to celebrate her noble deed.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Bilal Ahmed said, “Dr Rizwana Nadeem is a pride of our society. She prioritised service to humanity over everything else. Her spirit is worth emulating, and we will continue to highlight such exemplary figures to promote a culture of compassion and positivity.”
