Mian Nawaz Sharif resolves family feud in PML-N meeting

Mian Nawaz Sharif, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), reconciled the father and son duo of Mian Farooq and Mian Moazzam in the meeting of the PML-N Parliamentary Board Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Mian Farooq, a former MNA from Faisalabad, had been at odds with his son Mian Moazzam, who had applied for the party ticket against his father's will. Mian Moazzam's brother, Mian Qasim, had sided with their father in the dispute.

Mian Nawaz Sharif, who chaired the meeting, quoted Quranic verses and urged the family members to respect each other and resolve their differences. He said that respecting parents is necessary in every situation and directed Mian Moazzam to apologize to his father and brother.

Mian Moazzam complied and touched his father's knees while hugging his brother. The gesture moved everyone present in the meeting and they applauded the reconciliation.

Mian Nawaz Sharif praised Mian Farooq for his services to the party and said that he hoped that his sons would follow his footsteps. He also thanked Mian Qasim for his loyalty and support.

He said that the PML-N was a family and that he wanted to see unity and harmony among its members.

He said that the party would soon announce its candidates for the upcoming elections and that he expected everyone to work hard for the success of the party.
