Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf dissident National Assembly member Nasir Khan Musazai has requested the Speaker National Assembly not to approve his resignation, reported 214NewsHD TV channel.

In a letter addressed to Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf

Friday, the Musazai observed that the speaker’s office knew the matter precisely that he had no intention to resign.

“I do not want to resign from the National Assembly seat, I have never decided to resign from the seat.”

The letter read that the resignation of 123 PTI members was written in the PTI office by a computer operator.

It should be noted that Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has accepted the resignation of 35 more members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf on Friday.

A few days ago, Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf accepted the resignations of 34 members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed.

So far, a total of 79 resignations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and one resignation of Sheikh Rasheed have been accepted.

The Election Commission has also declared these seats vacant by issuing a notification of de-notifying PTI members from these seats.

It is expected that the resignations of another 35 MNAs will be accepted next week, while another phase of acceptance of resignations will follow.

All these efforts by the government are so that the opposition leader of PTI could not come to the National Assembly, therefore resignations are often accepted to keep the number of PTI members less than 25 in the assembly.
