Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill Friday filed an acquittal plea before his indictment in the sedition case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A local court of Islamabad issued a notice on the acquittal plea of Shahbaz Gill.
“The acquittal plea of Shahbaz Gill should be decided first,” the lawyer for Shahbaz Gill argued before the court.
“The sessions court said that no provision is made against Shahbaz Gill except one,” he added.
“And that one provision has been explained by the Islamabad High Court (IHC),” he stated.
“After hearing the arguments, the court can announce indictment if it considers that there is enough material on that,” he pointed out.
The court then put off the indictment of Shahbaz Gill, adjourning the hearing of the case till February 2, 2023.
Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra of the Islamabad court heard the case.
